2009 Auntsfield Estate Pinot Noir

The 2009 Pinot Noir is a beautifully balanced wine with stunning length and complexity.

Our Estate wines are made from grapes grown at Auntsfield Estate. Each wine shows the distinctive characteristics of ripeness, texture and minerality – qualities unique to the ancient Greywacke rock and Loess clay soils found here.

This intensely concentrated Pinot Noir has aromas of ripe berry fruit, spices and savoury nuances. A rich palate of berry fruit, plum flavours and hints of mocha integrates with soft tannins to create a seamless wine with length and complexity.

Color:

Deep ruby/crimson, very intense.

Aroma:

Ripe cherry, blackberry, black Doris plum floral aromas are complimented by more
savoury aromas of chocolate, mocha and dried spices.

Palate:

Rich, full and intense. Interwoven savoury and fruit flavours are dominated by succulent plum and berry fruit. The structure of this wine is tight yet rich and full with silky ripe tannins and unbelievable length.
